Kylie and Brad started their second guest bathroom off the back of a win – so vibes were high in House 4!

However, their week was quickly hampered by tiler issues that put them an entire day-and-a-half behind.

It was only thanks to a special contact from Foreman Dan that the couple managed to get tiles on their bathroom walls, but they were able to hustle to deliver a room they were happy with.

Kylie and Brad's inspo this week was a day spa vibe.

They opted for a timber-look tile in their shower, complimented by Hardie Groove and the same black dekton tiles as in their first bathroom in the rest of the room.

Kylie branched out with some colour as well, with a dusty pink basin and styling.

Against all odds they got it (almost all) done in time for tools down, spending $28,148 on their final bathroom.

"Wow, that's a lot!" Darren declared upon entering.

"It's a hell of a lot," Marty agreed.

Is that a good or bad thing?

Phew – Darren loved it!

"This is exactly what I thought Kylie and Brad were aiming for in their first bathroom. This is the right bathroom for this house," Darren praised.

Darren really liked the use of the timber-look tiles, saying it added a necessary softness to the room.

"It needs that balance," he said.

"Even if it's not a real timber, I think it's a really beautiful use of this tile. I really, really like it."

However, Marty "isn't a fan of materials masquerading as something else".

He called the timber-look tile a "mistake" that did not reach the same heights as their winning kitchen.

"I think that buyers after seeing that kitchen will feel that this is a totally different level when they come upstairs," he said.

"And it's not a level up, it's a level down."

"Wow, we're all going to battle on this one," Shaynna shared.

Wow, we've been warned!

Shaynna called the blush pink basin the hero of the room.

"[It] adds this impact of colour and softness, it's beautiful," she said.

However, Shaynna said she would've continued the dekton tile into the shower "because it breaks it up".

But overall, she was impressed by Kylie and Brad's growth.

"I feel like they've grown in their sophistication since Week 1," she said.

Shaynna appreciated House 4's uniqueness.

"Will everyone love it? I don't think so, but to me there's a lot of wins here for me," she shared.

Kylie and Brad kept their styling pretty simple this week – besides that interesting painting of course.

Here's a closer look at how they dressed their pink basin.

Although Shaynna and Darren enjoyed the room, Marty could not be swayed to join them.

He liked the layout and the basin, although he said it "seems a bit random".

"It seems to be sort of plonked there?"

The judges then noticed that the shower grouting was not finished.

"Marty wondered how it is you managed to deliver a kitchen last week finished to perfection, and then a bathroom this week that isn't fully grouted," Scott Cam read from his notes.

Brad explained that this was due to tiling problems putting them very behind.

"We had a couple of unfortunate occurrences with tilers, so we were lucky to even get a tiler this week," he told Scotty.

Shaynna then shared a small tiling tip for Kylie and Brad: "Attention to fine detail".

"I keep going to the column basin as the hero because that's what it is, it's the bright, shining light in this room," she said.

But there was another splash of pink she wasn't such a fan of.

"I'm looking at the shampoo and conditioner in this lolly pink and it detracts from what the basin is doing," Shaynna continued.

"If you've got a hero, leave it alone, you don't have to match it to anything else."

Kylie and Brad also tied in the pink in their choice of towels.

Although they didn't get perfect feedback this week, Darren was excited about the room and Kylie and Brad's house.

"They're in the game now... they're on the money here, they have something special, they really do," he said.

"I 100 per cent agree," Shaynna replied.

It had been a tough week for Kylie and Brad, so they were pleased with the mostly-positive feedback.

"Couldn't ask for better than that," Brad told his wife.

The Block airs Sunday at 7.00pm and Monday to Wednesday at 7.30pm on Nine and 9Now.
