Understated quarters in an upmarket beachfront hotel with 2 pools & a spa, plus a restaurant & bar.
Former Waldorf Astoria that has been recently renovated. The staff were amazingly friendly, rooms modern, and amenities/pool area great. Currently they are still finalizing some of the beach and bar areas, but it didn’t really detract from the experience much. Other reviews mentioned the construction noise, but it really wasn’t an issue whatsoever. Would definitely return to this property and stay.

Very nice hotel; rooms were great, easy access to the ocean. Self-parking was strange since it was kind of across the street from the hotel, so definitely worth dropping bags off at the hotel first before moving the vehicle to the parking lot. There was a wedding and reception one night which was a bit loud, but not too bad.

I was skeptical based on previous reviews that I had read. I can say upon arriving I was more than surprised by the attention to detail, architecture of the hotel and grounds, the level of service at the pool, beach and restaurants. It was truly one of the most relaxing vacations my husband and I have had in a very very long time. The only negative thing that I would say about the visit is that the division of labor among the staff was noticeable and for a 5 star hotel, that should never be the case, especially being visible to guests. You had some staff running serving, while others standing doing nothing, while guests were needing water, towels, food orders etc..

Casa Marina is a beautiful property in a great location, and I’d gladly stay here again. Austin and Nicole were very pleasant and added a nice touch to the experience. However, some parts of the hotel feel a bit run down and could use some uplifting. Considering the premium prices of most nights, it doesn’t quite meet the standard of a 5-star hotel. Small issues like an almost empty body wash bottle, dirty walkways, visible water damage on the ceiling, tears on the bedsheet and an average breakfast detracted from the overall experience. Overall I'd recommend it if you can find a good deal.

Staff was great. View from our floor was blocked by palm tree tops, but otherwise pretty good. Every elevator except for 1 was out of service. The rooms were small, didn't come with a microwave or an iron (steamer instead), the glass door kept getting stuck and had this 6" flood panel that everyone kept tripping over including my toddler.

We just got back from our stay and it was phenomenal! My fiancé proposed to me our second night there and the staff came together to help him make it a success. They captured the videos and photos we will cherish forever and for that I am eternally grateful. The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and we loved our room that was an oceanfront view. We can’t wait to come back and visit again! Thank you to everyone at the Resort for making this such a memorable experience 🤍

Rude staff. Check in is at 4, we asked for an early check in, knowing it wasn't guaranteed. Girl who checked us in rudely told us the room was not ready and there is no early check in. 345 pm we asked if the room was ready and we were tersely informed that we would receive a text when the room was ready and housekeeping would "try" to have it ready by 4. 415 pm we asked again if the room was ready, apparently it was, we received no text. Get to the room, not what we booked, we asked for 2 queen beds but we had a king and a pullout sofa. We kept it because we were hot and tired and thought we would just ask for more blankets and pillows. One blanket and one pillow arrived. Room is only ok. We usually stay at high end properties and were under the impression that with the renovation this would be that. It isn't. It's basic. Nothing is luxury about this place except the $645/per nightprice tag and that is an absolute joke. No trash cans in the rooms. Restaurants very, very, low end fare. Adult pool is small and super crowded. Room service might as well not exist, the options are so limited. If you're looking for a basic, overpriced, mid range hotel with poor food choices and staff who don't care about their guests, this is the place for you.

Updated: on top of the info shared previously, I discovered they charge a $60/day 'resort fee'. This place is a joke. It's not a resort and the fees they charge are unjustified. There are no amenities to use, meals are not included, this place is a total rip off. It's a hotel trying to position itself as a resort. Nothing about this place is worth the room rate or daily fees.Regret. Exceptionally high prices for marginal food and drink. They upcharge for seemingly basic things like beach couch, padded pool chairs, and the use of pool side cabanas. Entire facility was under construction from inside out. Elevators didn't work. Pool cleaning happens during busy morning hours instead of early, before people wake. The beach and surrounding facilities were dirty. Really disappointing place. I definitely wasted my money staying here.

We are on the tail end of our stay here and it has been exquisite. The location is beautiful. The hotel is kept clean and immaculate, which I really appreciated. After some other resort stays where I felt hygiene and cleanliness was lacking. I appreciated the level of care to room cleaning anytime we asked and general cleanliness around the resort. I am always disappointed in pool areas and bar areas and I felt like the teams did a fantastic job here making it all feel very elegant and tender to. The one star lacking here is due to absolutely horrible breakfast service. At first I thought it was just the first day then maybe the second. But by the 3rd and 4th and fifth day it is consistently awful. I am (seriously) nearly completed with my meal yet again without having coffee. In most other places in the world you would be offered, at the very least, your beverage at breakfast as you sit down. I've never had such a long wait for a cup of coffee consistently in my life. Additionally, my place setting was lacking a spoon and it took literally the entire meal to get a spoon. I almost went up to the station myself to just grab one. There seemed to be no urgency in the (One) staff member working the outside tables but I think it's also abundantly clear that there needs to be more staff on for breakfast. I think they feel like most people are going to get the buffet (which is easily the best buffet and highest quality breakfast buffet I might have ever had) But the mistake in having one server on the outside tables even for a buffet is that somebody always needs a drink, a utensil, oat milk, a special cocktail, something and one person is simply not enough to cut it, even in a buffet style where you're serving yourself, the food. There are a lot of other needs and at this price point per night I felt like that was a big miss. Just not a nice way to start the day. Feeling frustrated about the breakfast service. But I have to say that by the end of the day it is always made up the Elegance of the hotel and the attention of the staff elsewhere. I absolutely will return. I just hope they can improve the breakfast experience, as we always want to start our vacation days on a good note! A bravo to the resort as a whole, this place is a gem and we will be back.

I have been coming to the Casa Marina for 30 years.Yes, it’s a bit worn but it has its beauty.Every bump and bruise that it has can be repaired and painted with some time.My problem is that some of the staff doesn’t seem too happy.I went to Morrison’s Cafe on 10-1, the gentleman behind the counter was more concerned with his phone than with the service. I waited until he was ready in which he gave me a head nod instead of a verbal acknowledgement.I ordered my coffee and wanted to add a muffin. He was very put out.He tallied the price and said “$12.58” very rude. I gave him my room number and he insisted on $12.58, I cancelled my order and walked out.I can over look the bumps and bruises of the worn facility., but his rudeness is inexcusable.

So I’ve been to Key West many times always said I wanted to stay there well after the remodel I said let’s do it! I regretted it almost instantly the front desk staff young lady when we checked in was rather rude when I had to come to let them know I wasn’t in the room I booked. I booked a room with sitting area (couch & chair/table) and the room I got had a bed and 2 chairs with a small table with barely any room to move around in. I was told that is the sitting area, after showing the photo of my booking and further pushing the issue and she confirming with her manager ( who also claimed that’s what the room looks like what I got) I was asked to speak to manager which I did and she tried the same BS that’s what we got! No ma’m that picture and what I was placed in is not the same! So after a few clicks a frown and “a let me see what I got “ I was placed in a suite with a balcony. The balcony was facing a wall which it didn’t matter I didn’t book for one but you could definitely tell I was placed at the end of the hotel hall corner shame room 😂 it didn’t matter to me. As far as the price that is being paid for these rooms definitely not worth the hype or money. I deeply regret staying there and not any of our other hotels from the past. The beach is beautiful the staff on property was great. Room cleaning lacked (maybe spend less time on your cell phone) wasn’t the cleanest and I’m still waiting on my blanket!!! I’ve stayed at Hilton Hotels and this ain’t it. Self Parking is $40 they forget to tell add daily $3 tax to that so u really paying $43 to park your own vehicle. I won’t lie but I don’t think u should have to pay for parking at any Hotel since you are a guest and at those rates it’s hwy robbery. This is the first year we had to deal with paying for parking won’t happen again.. going back to our regular spots.

Very nice hotel very beautiful stayed fir 3 nights however they didn't clean the room once I asked twice everyday to have our room cleaned. As much as they charge ti stay here you would think they would want to take care of there guest to the fullest. I would recommend stating else where for the price.

ALL THE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY JUDGMENTAL. We booked two queen beds with an ocean view and balcony for 4 nights. The view was amazing and very close to the beach. However, the service was awful. They were all about money. The employees looked miserable. They have hidden charges. The employees could care less, whether you were happy or not with their services. I purchased a drink at the restaurant bar and it was the most water down drink I have ever had also it was expensive. I’m surprised that they didn’t charge to use the pool and the beach. The employees will even mention that they live off of tips. Before booking, discuss the parking situation with them because it’s not free.

Tropical Depression Debby cancelled our flight twice and finally got here 2 days late. But this place did not disappoint. Beautiful property inside and out. Rooms were all updated. Certain parts of the property still needs to be refreshed but overall great property, hospitality was one of the best experience I got. It was above and beyond.Used the pool, beach, the bar, the concierge and the gift shop. Service at the pool was great from ordering drinks, food to simply asking if I wanted bottled water given it was a hot day. Concierge booked our snorkeling/dolphin, para sailing adventures. Tried to book our private charter fishing but ended up booking that in Expedia where I had One key Cash to redeem. Only annoyance I had was probably when purchasing a baseball cap at the gift shop, they asked me to put in a tip. And to put this at zero, it was several steps.Sad to leave because we had so much fun but definitely will try to come back again.

I love how they restored the historic building(s). It's gorgeous. The beach is large and beautiful. You're only a half mile walk from several great restaurants and activities (Butterfly Conservatory, Southernmost Point). The bed was comfy and the food was very good. All the staff I interacted with were friendly. I would stay here again but not pay full price.But... we had a suite, and we were not impressed. The bathroom was buried in the bedroom as far as possible from the living area. There was one trash can for the entire room, so, say, if you used a coffee pod, you had to throw it away by walking through the living room, through the hallway, through the bedroom, and then finally into the bathroom, then the entire way back to get your coffee. There was a refrigerator but no microwave or extra sink. So to get your water to make the coffee you also had to walk all the way to the bathroom and then all the way back. We had booked for four people but the pull-out couch was not made up and the linens were not in the room. The first day we did not receive housekeeping services despite having the "please make up room" sign out all afternoon. One of the TV controllers didn't work. The door to the patio was very difficult to open and close, which could be a concern for those with physical limitations. The a/c was very uneven and made the bedroom freezing but the living area warm. The pools and beach were drastically understaffed. I had to get my own chair towels and pool towels every single time. If you wanted a drink you had to find and then approach a server. My son was playing soccer on the event lawn by the beach and stepped on some glass there and cut his foot pretty badly. My husband asked the front desk for a first aid kit, explaining what happened, and all they did was give him some bandaids. They didn't have any cleaning wipes or anything and didn't even go check to see if there was more glass! On a lawn between the pool and the beach - so everyone walks on it barefoot - where they have soccer goals and corn hole primarily used by children! Not great.

The front desk lady, when we checked in, didn't show us where the self parking was located. Attempted to charge us a second time for self parking after showing her our booking with parking included. Didn't inform us where our room was located. 3rd floor room, and the elevator was broken. The carpets in the hallways were very dirty and needed vacuuming. One roll of toliet paper, so if you run out, you'll have to stop by housekeeping. The room overall was nice, nice view, over pools and beach. The fire alarm went off our last day, and nobody even bothered to come upstairs to inform the guest if it was a true fire alarm. Turns out it was over cooked breakfast at 600am. Beautiful view but probably won't stay again due to staff and above issues.

This place is amazing. The view, the place, the location. Staffs are great, accommodating, pleasant. We had an amazing stay even with the hurricane. I was so thankful that it was running like normal during the hurricane because I wouldn’t show up if it was me. Lol. But overall, I would come back and recommend this place.

I had the most amazing experience with my stay. Absolutely beautiful resort with so many amenities. Everything was well kept, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast food was delicious. The pools and beach were just wonderful to relax at. All of the staff there was incredible! I did not get all the names, but some of the names that I did get were Robin (Front desk), Patrick (Front desk), Vince (He would hold open the door for us), and I believe Arnie (I hope I got the name correct, but he assisted us with our luggage our very first day). These staff members went above and beyond and treated us so wonderfully and helped guide us during our stay there. There were many others that did as well. Thank you all for such an amazing experience and I look forward to returning in the future! :)

Casa Marina is a beautiful, newly renovated hotel right on the beach. The rooms and restaurants were very well done, clean and had beautiful ocean views. The property has an adult only pool and separate kids pool, you have access to their sister property (The Reach), and they have activities including jet skiing right on property! Rianna was our guest service agent and she was pure sunshine. She recommended fantastic restaurants that we loved, told us all the best things to do in the area and did it all with a smile. Highly recommend this property!

I recently stayed at Casa Marina for 6 nights. As a Hilton Dimond Member, and having stayed in so many different Hilton properties around the world, I have to say that I was less than impressed.1. My room was filthy, dusty, and very basic. I had the King Ocean View with Terrace - which its price range between $850 - $1,097 per night (unacceptable). Not to mention the pathetic thermal/paper coffee cups provided in the room. You would think with those prices they would have ceramic cups.2. WiFi - Extremely unreliable. I kept loosing connection while in the room.3. Hotel Breakfast - not worth the price! (Although most of the staff was friendly, some others acted like robots and payed no attention to customer needs).4. Trying to get change to tip the staff was a mission of its own, no one seemed to have change… come on! The bar sent me to the front desk, the front desk sent me to the valet… The valet staff was able to break a $20 in two $10’s, no $5’s…5.The beach!!! My Gosh this was the worst part! The private hotel beach was full of debris (plastic bottles, cups, straws, cables, pieces of wood, and lots of dry seaweed) I literally found myself having to clear some of the debris and hiding it under my beach chair so that I could take a decent beach photo to post on my social media. Just like the room being dirty, this is unacceptable. Specially since they charge a hefty “resort fee” of $56 +tax per night. I walked over to their sister property “The Reach” and their beach was so much nicer and cleaner. They had 6 days to do something about the beach and never did. No excuses!6. The main elevators weren’t operational. I had to make a big loop to use another elevator that was also filthy and smelled pretty bad. Dragging bags after checking in and upon my departure was an additional inconvenience.7. Service inconsistency - No consistency in the quality of food and beverages. The presentation was different every single time, making it difficult to know what to expect.8. The hotel is in a great location! Not to mention it’s history. This property has so much potential, but will I give them a second chance and stay there again in the future? Will I recommend it to friends and family? Probably NOT.Update: The hotel, replied to my review 2 days ago, asking me to contact them to so they can follow up with me. Today, their reply was edited to a simple and pathetic apology. I see no genuine intentions of fixing the situation. I will file a formal complaint through Hilton.See screenshot below with previous reply from the hotel.
